In rooms it was very cold - we sleps in caps. And there were problems with hot water.

The lobby was a little dingy, trash was everywhere. But, the rooms were tidy, although the heater didn't work in the room. I would suggest bringing your own blankets and sheets; I didn't like the hostel's selection. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help me figure out my trip details.

the room was overbooked, so i had to sleep on a matttress on the floor in the corner for both nights we were there. staff were not helpful to rectify the problem. was charged the same amount. and the toilet didnt flush for two days.

Hey, thank you for the great time in Istanbul! Your Hostel was a very good accomodation to stay. The people at the front-desk, in the kitchen were really friendly and could answer many question, play Kniffel and made good Falafel ;-) So, have a good time in 2009! Greets, Lioba and Monique

Good hostel with friendly guests and good breakfast, could do something about the awful showers though!

Great Place to Stay. Great staff, and an amazing location---near to everything but just far enough from Istiklal to be quiet and more relaxed.

First off, it's great to not be in the touristy mob of Sultanahmet. The staff is generally very helpful--even entertaining (late night backgammon), providing a relaxed, but not party-like atmosphere. The breakfast is good and the price is reasonable. One complaint: our bathroom for the second part of our stay in our private double was leaky and too small. Our other one was fine. I'd stay here again.
