Recently refurbished, with very clean rooms, this hotel should be charging more - this is an excellent choice for downtown LA.

Excellent! But...for woman it's dangerous because of location. Many homeless around, far from ocean beach and hollywood...if you have car, really good!

Amazing, brand-new venue with free cable tv in every room! Extremely clean and with competent staff. Location is ok, slightly run-down area though. We had a problem with our booking (we weren't the only ones) but they upgraded us to nicer rooms so that was nice.

'Stay' were not able to provide an ensuite room as booked. Shared facilities were sparse and not very clean. Staff could not helpfully answer questions like 'What is the best way to get to Disneyland?'. Location is not bad to get around within LA, but it didn't seem like an area where you would feel safe going out at night alone.

I've reserved a room with private washroom and I did not get it. The only way would be to pay the full amount in advance which is not possible using Hostelworld website. The other problem with the Hostelworld system is that I had to pay for two persons independently if I was going alone or not. I had to solve the misunderstanding talking to the hostel manager. I wish I had used their own website instead.

we really enjoyed our time at 'Stay' staff were good at helping us find our way around the city. free internet is great. only thing we had a problem with was the fact that there is no Air Con in our room, we don't usually mind and it would have been ok if the fan was good, but we were literally baking at night, shame cos they provide lovely bed linen i'd have loved to snuggle into, but it was way too hot and stuffy! real good value for money too. they just need to get some air con!

in a really dodgy area - would not advise females to stay alone and is quite far from all the main attractions. messed up our booking, gave us a room which wasn't cleaned and gave other people keys to our room! the room was clean though with a great tv and music system, comfortable beds and bathroom - no airconditioning though and lots of loud sirens at night!!

The hotel is in a pretty rough-looking part of East L.A. A woman at night would DEFINITELY NOT feel safe walking by herself. The place was clean and the T.V was nice. No air conditioning though! The lobby is beautiful. It took the a while to get my room in order because they were really overbooked. Would not recommend it.
