My friend and I loved this hotel and did nothing but sing its praises during our stay. We had a little trouble finding it at first, but the receptionist gave us helpful directions without any trouble. We weren't expecting to stay in a three-star hotel, but that's exactly what this place is, we even had out own little balcony. I highly recommend Il Guercino.

The hotel was very good value for money. We were genuinely surprised when we arrived. The location is decent, but on the outskirts of the centre (very near the train station though), the room was very comfortable and the lobby area was great. One issue was that the room smelt a bit like vinegar... All in all a nice place to stay.

Recommend to anyone going to Bologna. Room was clean, staff was friendly, and the breakfast was great.
