If your plans are to get a good sleep to get up early and ski, then bring your industrial ear muffs because you will get little to no sleep at the dorms in this place. I have stayed at many hostels and this place was the most sleepless i have every experienced. However, after a sleepless night they do serve the best free hostel breakfast i have ever had. Furthermore, the location is excellent.

I want to go back to Bad Gastein. Location is just so AWESOME. Two things suck although: - No alcohol allowed inside so if cost you a lot to drink booze. - No guest kitchen and all restaurants are expensive around. Despite that, very nice hostel.

very friendly and helpful, let us use the lost and found for ski gear and upgraded us to a private room for no charge. free breakfast always a plus! the only drawback....the place stank of stale cigarette butts.

We really enjoyed staying here, felt very warm welcome. The room was clean, seeing the Alps from the window was great. Food was nice, breakfast was good. Only negative comment on warmcold coffee which didn't really make me feel like drinking coffee.
