Having the bar open late, makes it a bit loud if you are looking to go to bed early.

A great hostel with really helpful staff, but a bit on the noisy side in the early hours of the morning.

Impeccably clean (next to sterile) place but the crowd was just too young for me.

Nice clean & new, room & ensuite was lovely, modern & clean. Much like a hotel. However seriously need aircon - it was too hot to sleep in the rooms. Also upset that there are no kettles in kitchen, you have to pay for (horrid) coffee from a machine.

Our double room was more like a nice hotel than a hostel. Fantastic kitchen.

First time we had tired a Base, and it was like a hotel rather than hostel. Really nice room with ensuite. All very new. Also had a bar which had a band the night we stayed. Right in the centre of Wanaka.

Comfy bed, can be noisy with the bar being downstairs. Didnt feel very homely, had to walk through 3-4 security doors in order to use bathroom.
